Inter House Handball Competition 2023-24

Atmiya Vidya Mandir recently hosted the Inter House Handball Competition that was thoroughly enjoyed by all students. There were two groups based on age: Junior (consisting of students from standards 7, 8 & 9) and Sub-Junior (consisting of students from standards 4, 5 & 6). After rigorous training and coaching, each of the house teams was ready to compete and bring laurels to their house. Each of the preliminary matches was treated as a final due to the impressive performances of the players and the enthusiasm of the spectators who kept cheering for their house. However, only the best teams could make it to the ‘Grand Finale.’

Aptly titled, the “Grand Finale” was truly grand as it coincided with the inauguration of newly installed floodlights. The finals in both age categories were historic as they marked the first-ever inter-house competition final under the lights. The atmosphere was thrilling, and the finalists matched the occasion with their never-give-up attitude. Students from classes 1 to 9 attended the final and were not disappointed as the finalists gave their all, setting up a truly exciting finale.

The competition saw Satyam and Suhradam houses competing against each other for the Sub-Junior inter-house trophy, while the boys from Sundaram and Suhradam went head-to-head to lift the Junior trophy.

Amidst all the competition and the willingness to play harder to win, the feeling of “Atmiyata” and the school motto of “We are One” were palpable. The whole atmosphere entertained and inspired all the students and teachers present.

The final results are as follows: Satyam emerged victorious in the Sub-Junior category, while Suhradam clinched the trophy in the Junior category.

• 1^st: Satyam
• 2^nd: Suhradam
• 3^rd: Shivam
• 4^th: Sundaram

Junior Category:

• 1^st: Suhradam
• 2^nd: Sundaram
• 3^rd: Shivam
• 4^th: Satyam

Congratulations to all the house teams for putting up a great show, and our heartfelt gratitude to the coaches and the school management for creating such a spectacle for us.
