On Thursday, 30th July 2015, a session on traffic safety was arranged for the students of grades 8, 9 and 10. The PSI of Surat Rural Traffic Police, Mr Luvkumar Dabhi had very kindly come down to our school to help spread awareness about safety on roads and the traffic rules in general.

Mr Dabhi, who is an excellent orator, did not give anyone a chance to get bored. He discussed about the mind-set of Indian people as far as driving was concerned. He also shared some of his personal experiences about how joining traffic police had given him a whole new aspect of efficient and safe driving. The humorous, animated videos shown by Mr Dabhi kept the audience at the edge of their seats.

The session ended with a question and answer round between Mr Dabhi and the students. Mr Dabhi, with his wise and insightful answers, satisfied the curiosity of the students. It turned out to be a very fruitful interaction as the attendees got to learn many things from the session. Finally, when departing, Mr Dabhi appealed to all present that “India is a young country and the youths of India are India’s future, so, ‘Drive Safely Today, Be Alive Tomorrow’”.
