A refreshing trip was organised by our school for students of classes 11th and 12th. Unlike a normal morning, 5:30 AM on 30th July ‘15 was an unusual one as our housemasters came to wake us up and suddenly declared that we had to wear our casual dresses as we were to go on a trip to Surat! This announcement gave an energetic start to the day for all of us, although no one was sure yet about the exact plan for the day!

After the morning aarti and breakfast we had to report to our respective buses with our belongings. It was still not clear what was going to be the plan but as we took our seats, we got to know that the Commerce students were to go to Swastik Education complex, City Light and Science students to the Vision House, Parle Point. We did not realise how quickly we reached our respective destinations.

The Commerce group had a nice learning experience at Swastik, gaining information about different career options after 12th, so interestingly and enthusiastically provided by Bhaskar Sir and Ruchita Ma’am of Career Express, Surat. On the other hand, the Science group had their Maths and Biology classes and a ‘guided tour’ of the Vision House by Sudhir Sir himself! Our classes ended at 12 o’clock and we were in for a surprise when our teachers announced that we were to leave for VR Mall to watch the very recently released Ant-Man!

They had planned such that we were served popcorn and cold drinks at the beginning of this highly entertaining movie. Everyone enjoyed this imaginative 3D movie and then proceeded for our lunch at McDonald’s. It turned out to be a pretty heavy lunch for all, after which we left for school from VR Mall.

The heavy lunch caused most of us to sleep on our way back to school and we reached at 5 o’clock. It turned out to be a good nap, allowing us to be fresh and prepared for the evening sports time at school!

Thus ended a fun filled trip with all of us looking forward to many such opportunities in the future to spend such time with our friends and our teachers.
