Have you ever wondered how your life would be without your parents? It’s unimaginable. Everything that is necessary in life is being taught by our godlike parents. They nurture us not only by sacrificing their dreams but also investing every single second in order to make us successful in life.

They train us to face and handle all the future challenges. They live for us. They are an embodiment of God for us and are our first teachers.

Quite conclusively the Sundaram House team elucidated that serving our parents with devotion is equivalent to serving God with devotion. The value which Sundaram House celebrated whole heartedly was “Mata-Pita raji to Bhagwan raji”.

The first day of the week started with a discussion on an incident from the life of Lord Ganesh. The crux of the story was there is nothing more pious and spiritual than parents themselves. Hence serving parents, obeying their commands and respecting them is the only means of attaining God’s bliss. The life of Shravan was unveiled on the following day. The story was all about the dedication and love of Shravan towards his parents. On Wednesday, our Honourable Principal, Vijay Sir, educated us about the importance of parents in our lives. He reminded us about the five codes of conduct given by Param Pujya Swamiji to us.

  5. સરળતા રાખવી.

Next day, on Guru Diwas, we had a video darshan of Param Pujya Prabodh Swamiji. He shared an incident of a mother who dedicated her whole life to serve and bring up her child. It depicted the pinnacle of parents’ love.

Sundaram House was privileged to celebrate this immensely important value through a Creative Assembly on Saturday, 13th August. The protagonist of the drama was Dhyey Mehta who followed every instruction of his parents. He always respected them. He believed in the principle that the most important people in a child’s life are the parents and teachers. It was described in the drama how Dhyey’s parents fulfil their child’s small wishes by devoting their time and money. After growing up, remembering how his parents had once gifted him a room of his choice, Dhyey decided to perform a small deed of love. He renovated the newly decorated room to look just like his parent’s house. He didn’t worry about the cost incurred.

This made his parents feel so happy and proud that they agreed to live with Dhyey there after!

The week ended leaving us all more aware of our great fortune to have such wonderful parents in our lives and of our great responsibility to lead a life as a good human being so as to please them. So that, we can please God!
