One of the brainiest competitions, the Inter House Chess Competition, was held in the second half of July 2016, in the Senior Hostel activity room. The competition was organised in three groups: Sub-Junior, Junior & Senior.
The brain battle had two varieties, the players played for their houses, as well as for themselves.
The result for the Individual event is as follows:
- Sundaram House emerged winners with 42 points
- Satyam House was the runner-up with 18 points
The result of the Team events is as follows:
- Suhradam House were the champions of the game with 24 points
- Sundaram House with 22 points were the runner-up
It was heartening to observe that all the students gave their best in the competition and tried to help take their respective house further towards the trophy. And essentially, that was the true success of the event.
