Student Council Election 2015-16 witnesses echoes of “WE ARE ONE”

Every child is unique and at Atmiya Vidya Mandir our focus is to shape our children to be a global citizens with Indian culture and values ingrained in them.

In order to facilitate the development and practice of leadership qualities, our school witnessed its sixth Student Council Election of the academic year 2015-16.

All the student candidates showed great enthusiasm and willingness to be a part of the school’s Student Council. The election was conducted in 3 phases.

Phase 1:- Interested students filled a form to be considered a nominee for different posts in the Council.

Phase 2:- Campaigning buzzed in the air in school’s daily assemblies. The nominees for various posts of the Council adorned the stage with their impressive speeches and persuading all about them being the most deserving candidates for the various posts. But, in most of the speeches, these student candidates focused mainly on the slogan given by Param Pujya Prabodh Swamiji- “WE ARE ONE”.

Phase 3:- Election fever for the Student Council soared high among the students on 20th June 2015, Saturday. All the students of grades VI to XII, teachers, Vice-Principals, Principal and the entire non-teaching staff participated in voting for the council. The entire election process was conducted very smoothly.

Irrespective of their winning or losing the elections, one fact is sure that these candidates will definitely demonstrate the life-long message “WE ARE ONE”. 

New tasks now await the chosen students, to be performed both within and outside the classrooms to check and sharpen their various abilities and capacities and nurture a sense of duty and service within them.
