Dust blowing in the air… pulling up of sleeves… a deep exhale… and…… ‘Kabbadi…Kabbadi…Kabbadi…’ The game of focus and strength begins.
AVM was engulfed in a similar state of nervous excitement and enthusiasm on the advent of the first inter house sports competition of the year 2016-17: Kabbadi Competition. The smell of wet mud was accompanied with the scene of students of various houses stretching and gearing up for this traditional Indian game of Kabbadi – a real test of strength and a remarkable and beautiful demonstration of agility, toughness, teamwork and focus at play.
The competition began on 11th April, 2016. All the students were divided into three categories: Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior. In an exceptional show of courage and strength, the younger students of the Sub-Junior category played with much gusto. However, the Shivam House, showing indomitable will, emerged as the winner of all.
In the Junior category, as if in solidarity of their Sub-Junior group brothers, the Shivam House members again fought hard and defeating all opponents, rose as the winner house in the category.
The most exciting event of the contest was the final match held between Shivam House and Suhradam House in the Senior category. Although, the Shivam House members gave their best they could and tried to make the contest as tough as possible, the final match on 15th April, 2016 was won in a grand manner by Suhradam House in the Senior category.
The overall trophy of the championship was taken by the emerging players of Shivam House with 28 points. For the second place, there was a tie between Satyam and Suhradam House at 20 points.
Thus ended, 2016-17’s first inter house sports competition in AVM, giving the year a remarkable start.

This is most likely a TimThumb permissions error.
Go to the Justified Image Grid settings, TimThumb & CDN tab. Click check permissions then click 0755 or 0777 to see if that works (or do it manually via FTP, on the files and folders it lists there in case chmod fails). You can disable TimThumb with the 'Use TimThumb' setting and the option 'No'.
