After long and exhausting study sessions and tightly packed schedules of the Term-1 examination, AVM students needed to shed off the exhaustion of studies. So, a Fun-Fair was organized, which ignited the fire of cheerfulness and liveliness among all. Such events of joy and celebration bring a new wave of positivity to study well and prepare for the next examination. This Anand Diwas – Fun Fair at Atmiya Vidya Mandir was unique and special because along with the teachers and mentors, students of grade 10 contributed wholeheartedly to organise and host this event.

The school’s football ground was decorated to organise this Fun Fair for the students. One side of this football ground was dotted with various stalls for games and fun-activities while the other side had an array of food stalls where various food items were to be served to the students. This event brought ample opportunities to not only relish on the mouthwatering dishes being prepared on various stalls at the ground, but also to create heart-warming memories for life.

There were a total of fourteen different game stalls set up and at every stall the grade 10 students were deployed to conduct the activity and assist players in enjoying various games. The background music played by Hirenbhai enhanced the experience of this fun fair as some of the junior wing students started to dance to the folk music being played. Many played catch-catch with their paper-balls while others sat in a circle and chatted and munched the snacks they had won in the game “Ringa-Ring”. It was an inspiring view to see grade 10 students serving junior students and teachers. Some of them were helping prepare dishes while others were contributing to transporting things to the ground and instructing junior students.

Thus, this funfair was a completely refreshing and rejuvenating experience for AVM students after the strenuous studies of the Term – 1 examination. Moreover, it was a learning experience for grade 10 students from outside the school premise as each student participated in one or the other seva.
