On July 3rd this year, we were reminded of the immense significance of a guru. A guru blesses us abundantly and guides us on the path of spirituality. Celebrating Guru Purnima is one of the most important traditions of Hindu civilisation. Following this tradition, students of Atmiya Vidya Mandir celebrated Guru Purnima in a unique way by making a commitment towards Guru. The young students from grades 7 to 12 have offered unwavering promises as a token of their devotion.

The event was initiated by the 10th grade students, who planned to collect the commitments of students and display on a single chart paper in each division. The theme of the event was ‘Boats,’ symbolizing Sukhanand Swami’s inspiring incident where his commitment to Bhagwan Swaminarayan saved his life in a dangerous situation. The students aimed to pledge themselves to their respective Gurus and seek their blessings.

The promises made by the students were proudly showcased in the classrooms, serving as a constant reminder and a source of renewed energy. This display aimed to ensure that the commitments students made remain vibrant and alive, allowing them to celebrate the significance of this auspicious day throughout the year, embodying its true essence.
