On the fresh morning of 4th August, our school’s U-14 Handball team was ready to compete in the U-14 District Level Handball Tournament. At about 9:00 AM, we reached Satrawala Uma Vidyapith, Valthan (Dist. Surat) where the competition was organised.
After being given a bye in the first match, our quarter final match was against the host team of Satrawala Uma Vidyapith. With a performance worth appreciating, with a final score of 7-4, we were qualified for the semi-final.
Our semi-final match was against Valmiki Vidhayalay (Valthan). Unfortunately, the goddess of victory sought to be pleased with them and we lost the match with the score of 6-0.
Nonetheless, it was a great learning experience for us. Right from the beginning of being trained by Kalpesh Sir and Ritesh Sir till this tournament!
And furthermore, two of our team players even got selected for the State Level Tournament: Niravbhai and Tirthbhai.
