The word “tour” that too with friends, brings not only happiness but lots of excitement and pleasure.

After almost a month of exams, FAT II and SA I, finally, the long awaited days came. It was our Kankariya- Mehsana tour.

The 3rd October’s night was too long! We didn’t remember what we ate and whether we slept properly or not because the next morning at 5 am, we had to start.

We started on time and after taking lunch at the Swaminarayan Temple in Ahmedabad (Maninagar), we reached the Kankariya zoo in the afternoon. Though the afternoon was very hot, but cool air of the lake was very soothing and being on the toy train was awesome!

After having a visit of children’s museum and planetarium, we left Ahmedabad and reached Shanku’s Water Park in Mehsana at around 7 o’clock in the evening.

After reaching there, as soon as we splashed in the cool water of swimming pool we became as fresh as morning lilies and our tiredness was washed away. To change our clothes, we went to our comfy and airy room having very good facilities. We spent some time watching some interesting T.V. shows and then went for a very delicious dinner.

The entire next day, 5th October, for which we had long waited, was spent in the Water Park.

Water, water, water, water

Over here, over there

Water everywhere

Water in the pool, keep us cool

Water, water, water, water ………

We had our favourite items of paneer and other delicious food items for lunch.

We didn’t want to come out of the water, but then, it was time for the Water Park to close for the day. So, we came back to our rooms and got changed. Then we all went to the Mughal Garden where we had a nice photography session. We then returned back to the hotel where observed mega sized snails in groups on the ground outside our rooms.

After dinner, it was garba time! We enjoyed dancing with our elders. After spending a wonderful day we slept a little late because we had a lot of fun time with our friends.

Next morning, we left the place with a thought to come again whenever we get a chance.

Why tour………..? Because

  • We get exposure of outside world which is a very good learning experience for us.
  • We get chance to come close to each other and learn to accept each other.
  • We learn to become responsible and independent.

With all these memories, we reached back to AVM on 6th October evening.
