In AVM, we celebrate many festivals with great joy, fun, enthusiasm and a lot of devotion. Recently we celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi, a major festival of Hindu Culture.
Ganesh Sthapana
On 17th of September we escorted Lord Ganesh’s magnificent idol with the rhythm of drums followed by dancing and clapping with cheers of happiness on everyone’s face. As Ganeshji arrived at the Atmiya Prarthana Mandir, He was then taken to the stage where a beautiful mandap was set up after hours of hard work of our didis and teachers. Then His sthapana was done followed by his puja and aarti. Ganeshji blessed us with his divine presence for the next 4 days.
Ganesh Visarjan
After 4 days of offering of bhakti, on 21st September, the time came to bid him a farewell. And praying to him for strength to tackle all our problems to make us happy and successful in our lives. For the immersion ritual Ganeshji’s idol was brought from the temple and was put in a beautifully decorated carriage with coconut leaves hanging around it. With lots of cheering, clapping, singing and dancing all the students participated in this procession. Our elder brothers showed their enthusiasm through drums and maracas. Everyone was happy and excited. All the students started to dance and followed the procession around the school. Finally, the idol was taken for immersion in a sacred river near our school.
By staying at AVM and celebrating all festivals together, we learn many good values. Through the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, we learnt that like Ganeshji, we should be an obedient child and we should always respect our parents, teachers and our elders.
Hence ended a wonderful event celebrated by all young and old by coming together and making it a memorable experience.

This is most likely a TimThumb permissions error.
Go to the Justified Image Grid settings, TimThumb & CDN tab. Click check permissions then click 0755 or 0777 to see if that works (or do it manually via FTP, on the files and folders it lists there in case chmod fails). You can disable TimThumb with the 'Use TimThumb' setting and the option 'No'.

Tip: Install the official WP plugin 'Jetpack' by Automattic and enable 'Photon'. Jetpack enables you to connect your blog to a WordPress.com account to use the powerful features normally only available to WordPress.com users. It's an excellent TimThumb alternative and will make your images load faster. Note that you won't be able to use special effects due to cross-domain security limitations. Read more at: jetpack.me
