Atmiya Vidya Mandir witnessed the Inter House Table Tennis Competition 2015-16 from 11 August 2015 to 15 August 2015. The competition was held in three categories: Junior, Sub Junior and Senior. The event was conducted at the school table tennis court. This year, the students participated even more actively and enthusiastically. This competition gave a platform to students to showcase their talent.
The competition had two parts in each categories. One was a team event which was played house wise and the other was an individual event (both contributing points to the house). This year, we witnessed many emerging players with their splendid performances.
The competition started with the Sub Junior group. The runner-up in the individual event was Devbhai Bandhiya and the champion was Nirmaanbhai Patel. In the team event, Satyam House won the first place followed by Sundaram, Suhradam and Shivam House teams respectively.
In the Junior group, Rushaybhai Modi won the first place with his extraordinary performance, with Niramaybhai Patel and Saurabhbhai Bhamre just behind him. In the team event, Shivam House secured first position followed by Satyam, Sundaram and Suhradam House teams respectively.
And finally, in the Senior group, Smithbhai K Patel was the champion in the individual event followed by Smitbhai Lad and Praneshbhai Tanna. In the team event, the houses ended up in the following order: Satyam, Suhradam, Sundaram and then Shivam.

This event would have been impossible without our school’s Sports Team’s coordination. All the arrangement and decoration was spearheaded by our table tennis coach, Devang Sir who was also responsible for the training of all the students for this competition. Thus, the event was concluded with a lot of appreciation of all the efforts of our sports team and of the participants to give such wonderful performances for their respective houses.
