Rapturous enough to have earned the wonderful opportunity to represent the school in the Subroto Cup held at Essar International School on 19th July, the Under-14 Atmiya football team participated with full josh.

The day began with a fresh start as the young team marched its way to the venue after offering their prayers at 7:00 A.M. After arriving at Essar, the team took on its first fixture against Countryside International School. The match was exciting and it ended with our team’s victory by 3-0, wherein Chinmay bhai scored the first two goals and Dev bhai contributed with the third.

The next match was against the P. P. Savani School team. All the players exhibited the true spirit of the game of football. At the end, Atmiya Vidya Mandir was victorious with a score of 5-1. Yug bhai, Ankit bhai, Dev bhai, Aman bhai, and (once again) Dev bhai scored the five respective goals securing a satisfactory win. As the tournament proceeded, the school managed their place in the semi-finals against the Fountainhead School team. The match was a true display of skill, talent and potential. Our team fought back vigorously, but we couldn’t secure a position in the finals. The final score was 3-0 and the team returned with valuable lessons and priceless experiences.

The seemingly unforgettable and memorable day ended with content and a sense of pride. But it wouldn’t have been possible without God’s Grace.

“When you run alone – you run a race,

When you run with God – it’s called grace!”
