/in 21st Century Skills, AVM Updates, Sports /by AVM StudentsOur school chess team – Aanand Bhai Kasadwala (Grade 6), Hermes Bhai Gajera (Grade 6), Dhyan Bhai Bhatt (Grade 8) and Arham Bhai Modi (Grade 9), recently participated in the Surat Inter-School Chess Championship-2024-25 held at DPS Tapi on 13th July 2024. The event saw participation from 15 schools, each bringing four players to compete. The competition was intense, with each school’s top two players using a time clock to manage their moves.
For most of us, this was our first experience in such a competitive setting, which made the atmosphere tense and anxious yet incredibly exciting. Despite primarily participating for the experience, we were thrilled to win a couple of matches, which was an added bonus.
Overall, it was a very positive experience for all the participants from our school. We extend our gratitude to our coaches and the school management for providing us with this invaluable opportunity early in our student life.
