U-14 District Level Football Competition 2023-24

After a long duration of rigorous practice and coaching, the Atmiya Vidya Mandir Under-14 (age group) Football team availed the opportune chance to participate in the district-level football tournament. This tournament was held at The Millennium School Surat where teams from different schools in the Surat district participated. On 8th September 2023, under-14 AVM football team headed to participate in this district-level football tournament with their football coaches Swadesh Sir and Mahesh Sir.

On the ground, students’ hard work paid off. Atmiya Vidya Mandir stunned everyone and proved to be one of the best teams by securing four goals in the first match itself. With their outstanding agility and performance, the AVM team emerged victorious among all other teams. Everybody present there had been enthralled by the AVM’s football team. In spite of tasting triumph, the AVM champions remained modest and expressed their gratitude to God, and thanked their coaches after their victory.

Unfortunately, the semi-final matches were cancelled due to rainfall. As per the plan, the selections were to be held after the finals but as semi-finals were cancelled. An immediate decision was made to select the best 5 players from the top 8 teams and make a team of the best 16 players to play for the state-level tournament.

Impressed by the AVM football team, the coaches of the selection committee selected AVM players to be a part of the state-level team. It was difficult to select the most excellent 5 players as the whole team played very well. Finally, the 5 best players were selected for the state level football championship. These young football players returned from this tournament with an overwhelming and heartfelt gratitude towards God and their football coaches.
