The AVM Sports Department hosted a Langdi Competition for the first time to spark joy and energy among the 2nd and 3rd graders. The young bhoolkus participated with immense enthusiasm, filling the event with excitement and overjoy.

Held from 28th July to 4th August, the tournament featured six teams: Suman, Suhas, Saurabh, Naman, Param, and Atmiya, each consisting of nine players. The matches took place in the block of the Param Hostel.

The game was played in a 9×9 meter arena, where one attacker would hop on one leg, trying to tag three defenders. If the attacker put their other foot down, they were eliminated, and the next attacker would enter. Only one attacker was allowed in the arena at a time, while defenders rotated as they were tagged. Each match lasted seven minutes, keeping the energy high and the excitement constant.

The final match was held between teams Naman and Atmiya, and after a thrilling contest, team Atmiya emerged victorious. The tournament was a lively showcase of the young participants’ courage, stamina, and skills, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love for this traditional game.
