Making a proud addition to AVM’s football history, the 64th Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament turned out to be a golden achievement for the academic year 2025-26. The tournament was hosted at AMNS School, Hajira, Surat, on 22nd July 2025 for the U-17 category.

The day started with excitement and energy as our bhoolku footballers left for the venue at 7:00 AM. Many schools from Surat took part in the competition. With the blessings of GuruHari, the Atmiyans rose to the top and became the champions at the district level. This victory came not by chance, but through hard work, determination, and dedication.

The AVM football team had to face three of the best teams from Surat Rural region. Their first match was against The Millennium School. With perfect coordination and teamwork, AVM won the game 3-0. In the semi-finals, we faced the defending champions, The Alchemy School, and secured a huge win of 4-0, making AVM the first team to enter the finals.

The final match was against the home team, AMNS. Both sides were equally strong, and the game was intense. The Atmiyans showed true endurance and spirit throughout the match. Finally, one of our top players scored the winning goal, making AVM the district champions. This was a historic moment because it was the first time AVM had ever won this tournament.

The victory was celebrated not with loud shouts but with gratitude to GuruHari. It was a proud and unforgettable moment for everyone.

This success was the result of two months of intense training. Our coaches, Swadesh Sir and Mahesh Sir, put in tireless effort to prepare the Atmiya Lions. The players too gave their best, following their coaches’ guidance and staying devoted in prayer.

The journey didn’t end here. With this win, AVM U17 football team was selected to represent “Surat Rural” in the Subroto state-level tournament.
