The closing ceremony of the 21st Atmiya Athletic Meet perfectly matched the enthusiasm, energy, and euphoria of the entire event. It celebrated the outstanding achievements of individual student athletes while strongly reflecting the theme “We Are One,” which remained visible throughout the meet.
The ceremony began with the medal distribution, where winners of the respective events were awarded medals and applauded wholeheartedly by everyone present. It was a proud and joyful moment for all the athletes who had worked hard to earn their place on the podium.
This was followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the student council members. They sincerely expressed gratitude and appreciation for the efforts − both big and small − put in by teachers, mentors, staff members, and students to make the Athletic Meet a grand success.
Special appreciation was then given to the volunteers from Grades 9, 10, and 11 in the form of certificates. Their dedication, discipline, and tireless efforts played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the entire event.
One of the most awaited moments of the ceremony was the announcement of the Best Athlete Trophies, awarded to outstanding performers across different age categories. The trophies truly reflected the remarkable performances of our gritty champions. The elite Atmiyans were:
- Under-8 Best Athlete: Nirmaanbhai (Suhradam)
- Under-10 Best Athlete: Nishitbhai (Shivam)
- Under-13 Best Athlete: Vedbhai (Suhradam)
- Under-15 Best Athlete: Ronitbhai (Shivam)
- Under-17 Best Athlete: Shauryabhai (Sundaram)
Next came the much-anticipated announcement of the Champion and Runner-up Houses. With an impressive total of 292 points, Suhradam House secured the Champions’ title. Satyam House followed closely with 252 points, earning the Runner-up position.
Just when everyone thought the ceremony had come to an end, a truly special and unforgettable moment unfolded. For the first time ever, in the true spirit of “We Are One,” every student and every member of the Atmiya family − including mentors and teachers − gathered together on the stairs in front of the Prayer Hall for an iconic group photograph. The AVM Champions and We Are One banners, along with the winners’ and runners-up trophies, were placed in front of the entire group, beautifully symbolising unity, togetherness, and pride.
It was a fitting and heart-warming conclusion to what was truly a spectacular 21st Atmiya Athletic Meet.
