He listens, He loves and He cares.
26th July, is the Smruti Din of H.D.H. GuruHari Hariprasad Swamiji, our divine father. On this day in 2021 GuruHari Swamiji left His divine body, for His sacred abode, Akshardham. Smruti Din is the day where one delves into the invaluable smrutis of GuruHari Swamiji.
This year, we celebrated Smruti Din with a cultural program that highlighted Swamiji’s loving and caring nature towards His children of Atmiya Vidya Mandir. His ability to listen to students’ most trivial concerns with patience is unimaginable. Each smruti in the program was set so that it would depict one aspect of Swamiji’s uncompromising attitude towards AVM students. Swamiji cared and gave time to each and every concern of His children. This nature is depicted in a smruti that Swamiji had cancelled all His plans just to comfort him, as Atmiyabhai wanted to go back home. This shows the extent to which Swamiji is willing to go for His bhoolkus.
Swamiji was like a perennial river of love. The sheer amount of love that Swamiji showered upon the ones he considered his is unimaginable. Once a bhoolku studying in 1st grade had gone to meet Swamiji on his birthday. On that day Swamiji did not fail to fulfil each and every one of his wishes, and went on to shower him with immense love. Swamiji has never stepped back when it came to listening to the questions, concerns or even the students sharing their memories with Swamiji. Such a nature was shown when a bhoolku named Smitbhai had asked a question to Swamiji about what He did in a specific room. Swamiji gave such darshan as if He was pondering over how to explain to the child that it was the khangi room. Swamiji could have ignored the question but to Swamiji even a question asked by a small child was of utmost importance. So, answering, Swamiji said that I comfort the bhakto who come to me crying, and send them back joyful. This incident shows how important everyone associated with AVM are to Swamiji.
The cultural program was also filled with dances, one between every smruti, with the music and steps apt corresponding to the smruti. After the dances and plays, two bhoolkus – Nirmaanbhai from 10th grade and Abhaybhai from 12th grade, came up on the stage to share how Swamiji has blessed them with His divine love. And the program was concluded by Vijay Sir and Milanbhai sharing their experiences with Swamiji.
This program was a small tribute and a reminder of what Swamiji has done for us, the love He has showered us with, but we will be eternally indebted to Him. We can only pray for Him to bless us with the ability and motivation to work harder and strive even more sincerely towards becoming the way He wants us to become.
