A new year marks a new beginning — a step closer to our goals. Every organisation needs a leader, and in fact, each one of us should strive to be a leader in our own way.

At Atmiya Vidya Mandir, we are given a special opportunity to develop the qualities of an ideal Bhoolku leader. Nominations for various positions — Captains, Vice-Captains, Sports Captain, Vice Head Boy, and Head Boy — are done thoughtfully by our respected teachers and principal.

This year, with great excitement and energy, the campaign speeches were held in the most sacred and largest place in our school — The Prayer Hall.

Each nominee, equally deserving, delivered powerful speeches filled with confidence and humility. Inspired by Swamishree’s vision of Atmiyata and Dasatva, every candidate promised to serve sincerely and become a true nimit.

On the day of voting, students and teachers participated enthusiastically. This entire process was designed to help us learn how to differentiate between good and better — much like the elections in our country. Hopefully, this experience will help us grow into honest and capable decision-makers in the future.

In the end, only one student could be chosen for each position. The announcement of results was awaited with curiosity and excitement.

With this, a new chapter begins — as the baton is passed on to the young leaders who now take on the responsibility to guide the school forward with values of discipline, courage, hard work, and most importantly, unity.
