The opening ceremony on September 20th was a grand affair, beginning with a march-past and the hoisting of the CBSE and host school flags. The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including an IPS officer who was formerly an engineer specializing in fluid dynamics at ISRO, and a CBSE Observer. Each guest was warmly welcomed with a bouquet.

The ceremonial lighting of an oil lamp symbolized the true spirit of sportsmanship, followed by an inspiring speech from the IPS Officer emphasizing teamwork and determination. The event also featured a captivating dance performance, a motivational song, and an address by the principal of Podar International School. The ceremony concluded with the oath-taking, marking the official start of the tournament.

Tournament Highlights

U-19 Category

  • First Match: Atmiya Vidya Mandir received a bye, advancing directly to the next round.
  • Second Match: AVM Team faced DPS Gandhinagar in the quarter-finals and emerged victorious with a 3-0 scoreline, securing a place in the semi-finals.
  • Semi-Finals: The team competed against DPS Surat but unfortunately lost the match.
  • Result: Atmiya Vidya Mandir secured a commendable third place, earning a bronze medal.

U-17 Category

  • First Match: The team put up a commendable performance but lost in the first round.

U-14 Category

  • First Match: The team also received a bye in the initial round.
  • Second Match: They won against DPS Harni, advancing to the semi-finals.
  • Semi-Finals: Despite a spirited performance, the team lost to Zaidus.
  • Result: The U-14 team also earned a bronze medal, marking another achievement for the school.
