Samarpan is not just a function at Atmiya Vidya Mandir – it is a heartfelt expression of love and gratitude from students to their beloved teachers. It is their act of selfless seva that fills the hearts of students with enthusiasm and energy to honour their mentors through a grand and beautifully organised event – Samarpan.
This year, too, “Samarpan – A Tribute to Those Who Light the Way for Others” was celebrated with immense brainstorming, dedication, and enthusiasm. The theme for this year was another masterpiece, living up to the legacy of previous years – “Strong Roots of Values, Sweet Fruits of Success.”
This theme beautifully draws a parallel between a tiny seed and a student. Just as a seed holds within it the potential to become a vast, fruitful tree with the care of a dedicated gardener, a student too carries immense potential that can blossom under the guidance of a committed teacher.
The youthful energy of students alone is not enough to make them stand tall like a flourishing tree. It is the teacher, in the role of the gardener, who nurtures that hidden potential, helping it grow into a successful and meaningful future. Just as soil rich in nutrients is essential for the healthy growth of a seed, students require a nurturing school environment that fosters curiosity, openness, and encouragement.
Our mentors, like the sunlight, shower students with boundless love and support, enabling them to reach beyond their perceived limits. Just as there’s a stark difference between a chaotic jungle and a well-tended garden, there’s a difference between an ill-mannered and a well-mannered child. People are drawn to gardens for their organized beauty – a result of thoughtful pruning and care. Similarly, teachers shape students by offering constructive guidance not just within classrooms, but on sports grounds and beyond.
Weeds – the unwanted plants that hinder a sapling’s growth – symbolize bad habits that can often entangle young minds. But it is the teacher, the gardener, who identifies and removes these from the students’ lives. The most prominent qualities that a teacher at AVM cultivates are moral and ethical values. These values not only build character but also guide the students on the path of righteousness, making them spiritually strong.
The core values imparted to AVM students remain deeply rooted within them, even as they go on to achieve great heights in life. Just like past themes, this year’s theme was also deeply meaningful and beautifully justified.
Continuing the rich tradition, this year’s grand function was meticulously thought through and organized via the dedicated efforts of the 11th graders and the teachers. It wasn’t just a result of a single day’s work, but the culmination of an entire month of planning and preparation. From drafting write-ups to decorating the venue, every aspect was carried out with devotion and teamwork.
It wasn’t a piece of cake – but with the grace of Swamishree and the tireless support of the teachers, the event was executed marvellously and memorably.
The Teachers’ Day celebration at AVM on 5th September 2025 truly stood as a testament to the values of gratitude, creativity, and unity that define our school. The execution of the event was a result of dedicated planning and tireless efforts by the students, under the guidance of their teachers. This collaborative effort not only brought the event to life but also nurtured important life skills like patience, teamwork, and mutual respect among the students.
At last, on 5th September, 2025, the plan was put under execution. It started with the grand entry of our beloved teachers through a stunning pathway prepared by the students. As a part of this tribute, students also expressed their heartfelt gratitude by recalling and appreciating the remarkable qualities of those who have directly or indirectly shaped their lives in a positive way. Through words and reflections, they honoured their mentors for their patience, compassion, discipline, and unwavering support. Every teacher’s unique contribution – whether through guidance in academics, encouragement in sports, or quiet inspiration in daily life – was acknowledged with love and respect. This sincere expression of gratitude made the event not only memorable, but also deeply meaningful for every student and teacher present. Equally commendable was the 40-minute musical show, which left the audience enthralled – kudos to Jaimin Sir and Himanshu Sir for their devotion-filled relentless efforts. The seamless coordination, soulful performances, and evident passion of the student performers created an atmosphere of joy and celebration. The effort, discipline, and musical talent showcased by the students were truly outstanding and served as a beautiful tribute to the teachers who inspire them every day.
With events like these, AVM continues to celebrate not just occasions, but the spirit of togetherness, learning, and appreciation. Samarpan thus stood as a shining testimony that at AVM, education is not just about learning, but about growing with values, gratitude, and devotion – the strongest roots that will forever bear the sweetest fruits of success.
