India is a land of rich diversity, but what truly makes it unique is the unity of its people. The spirit of togetherness lies at the heart of our nation’s ethos. Republic Day is not only a celebration of the adoption of the Indian Constitution, but also a tribute to the visionaries and leaders who worked tirelessly to shape our nation’s future.

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great pride and enthusiasm at Atmiya Vidya Mandir. The programme was not ordinary − it was truly memorable and inspiring. On a fresh and chilly morning, the National Flag was hoisted high, filling everyone’s hearts with patriotism and respect. With our eyes and hearts fixed on the tricolour, the music team beautifully presented the Jhanda Geet and Vande Mataram, creating a truly patriotic atmosphere.

After the flag ceremony, the students of Grades 8 and 9, guided by Mihir Sir, participated in the March Past, showcasing discipline, coordination, and unity. This was followed by an energetic and delightful patriotic dance performance by the cheerful students of Grades 1, 2, and 3, which brought joy and excitement to the audience.

The celebration also included a proud moment of recognition for our achievers. Our talented sportspersons were awarded certificates and medals for representing our school with excellence by securing 1st position in Football (Subroto Cup) and 3rd position in Volleyball (CBSE Clusters). Additionally, students who wrote outstanding essays for the Tata Essay Competition were also honoured with certificates and medals for their remarkable efforts.

The programme continued with an enlightening speech by our respected Principal, Vijay Sir, who spoke about the three fundamental qualities of a good human being: “Aastha, Vivek, and Atmiyata.” His words encouraged everyone to become more responsible and value-based citizens.

The event concluded with the proud singing of the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a deep sense of unity, gratitude, and the true spirit of oneness and atmiyata.
