Writing is a reflection of the human heart – a union of emotions, creativity, and a tribute to the lovely moments of life. Human creativity is the outcome of countless imaginative minds, listening to the voice within their hearts, and souls and turning it into something beautiful.

AI can indeed mimic human creativity within seconds with the help of programmed codes and algorithms. But can it really replace the magic of immortalising human experiences into words? The passion poured into every stroke of ink, the hours devoted to crafting a legacy with a pen, and the depth of human emotion, these are the things that AI still can’t replicate.

When we write, we imprint a part of us on paper. It is our deeply rooted human emotion that we share with the world. Writing is indeed a celebration of the human spirit and creativity is a God-given gift. We shouldn’t rely on technology so deeply that it dulls the spark of creativity within us.

With this belief close to our hearts, we launched The Writing Workshop back in 2020 as an effort to nurture the spark of creativity within our students. Writing workshop makes the students self-reliant to express their thoughts and feelings in an organised manner. Every year, we witness the students create a phenomenal range of books, whether it’s small-moment stories, show-and-tell pieces, persuasive writing, investigative journalism, or both realistic and imaginative fiction. Their creativity and passion have only grown stronger with time.

As we often say, children are the future of our society, and their voices matter. That’s why it’s so important to celebrate young writers and the authors of tomorrow. Each year, we humbly host a celebration to honour this creativity. After months of dedicated writing workshop sessions, it was finally time to celebrate the students’ hard work. This year’s Writing Workshop Celebration at Atmiya Vidya Mandir took place from 3rd April 2025 to 5th April 2025.

The celebration began with a grand procession, where students happily held their books in their hands and marched through the school corridors, their faces glowing with excitement. Their voices rose in cheerful rhyme,

“Two, four, six, eight, all our stories are really great!

One, two, three, four, we can’t wait to write some more!”

After the parade, the students returned to their classrooms, which were transformed into cozy sanctums of creativity, embellished with bursts of colourful crafts and thoughtful words crafted from the writing workshop journey. Guests, teachers, and senior students came in great numbers, keen to read, listen, and be moved by the children’s stories. With hearts full of joy, the children shared the stories they had poured their souls into. Their work was met with warm applause, kind words, and thoughtful suggestions, making the celebration both joyful and meaningful.

It’s been a truly eventful year of writing at Atmiya Vidya Mandir, and we look forward to carrying this legacy in the years to come by inspiring our students to love, feel, think, imagine, and create.

See you next time, until then – happy reading and happy writing!
