As a striker in a carrom game strikes a coin, the striker of glory struck some glory for our school when our teams participated in the District level Carrom Competition in the U-14 and U-17 categories held at the JB Diamond School, Surat.

Participants in both the categories were equally motivated to make our school proud by winning the tournament.

In the U-14 category, the first match was played between our school and JB Diamond School (English medium: CBSE) in which we won comfortably. Moving to the quarter final, our school played against JB Diamond School (English medium: GSEB). Luckily, we won this match too. In the semi-final, our school played against Aryam School, Surat. Fortunately, we won this match too and our school marched through into the doors of the finals. Now, the road to victory looked very easy. In the finals, our school played against JB Diamond School again. And creating a history for our school in the District Carrom Competition, we won the finals too. The sheer hard work and sincere efforts put in by the players was clearly seen in their performance during the tournament and in the gleaming eyes of the teachers.

In the U-17 category, our school first played against Ryan International School and we won comfortably. Moving to the quarter finals, our school played against JB Diamond School (English medium: GSEB) in which we won and paved our way to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, our school played against Aryam School, Surat in which we won in an astounding manner. In the finals, our school played against Vasishtha Vidyalaya, Vav. Unfortunately, we lost the match but the pride of our school was sustained due to the respectable performance of the players.

Though in one category we were victorious and in the other we came runners-up, but we learnt important life lessons of sportsman spirit and remaining stable in every situation.
