It is understandably a difficult decision for any parent(s) to put their loved ones in a residential school. The day the parents drop the children in the school for the new academic term, is one of the most challenging days for them in the year. It is even more so for the children who are very young, especially for students of std 1-5. Their first few days in school are full of fond memories, love and care provided to them by their parents in during the summer. Children miss their parents and parents miss their children.

The teachers and mentors of the school in these first few days slowly take the charge of these students as foster parents. To help children settle in the school they were taken out on a one day picnic to the city.

On 17th June 2015 and 18th June 2015 the students of grades 1 to 3 and 4 to 6 were taken out for a trip to Surat. They were very happy and as soon as they came to know they were going out to have fun, all their reservations and feelings vanished and they carried their effortless smiles!

In the morning, they were taken to a renowned complex in the city where they watched the animated movie: Home. After the movie they enjoyed their favourite games in the Game Zone within the complex premises. During the transition, they also had their favourite Happy Meal at McDonald’s restaurant.

Children made new friends, learnt to share things and got the love and care like they get at their homes from their teachers, didi’s and mentors. They completely forgot that they were missing their parents and they were very happy and found their home away from home.

We thank all the parents for entrusting us with the responsibility for the overall development of your child here at Atmiya Vidya Mandir. And we want to re-assure you that they are in the safest hands and the best of the hearts!

Please cherish some of the wonderful moments spent by our children in the photogallery below.

Thank you Parents!!
