Verbal/linguistic Intelligence is used when we speak to each other, whether through formal or informal conversation. It consists of the ability to think of words and to use language to express and appreciate complex meanings.

Verbal/linguistic Intelligence involves understanding the order and meaning of words in both speech and writing and to properly use the language. Children learn to design multimodal presentations like skits, words, stories and solve puzzles. Group activities empower them with valuable outlets to express themselves clearly.

Innovative methods are set to bring in a new phase of education, where the kernel of learning lies on awakening one’s inner abilities. Through this type of competitions every year, AVM strives to equip its students with an immense capacity to use language to express themselves, and to understand other people. They are good with both forms of language, written as well as oral. They enjoy reading, writing and learning languages. They think in language. At the same time, their emotional needs are quenched through working closely with peers, developing diverse strengths, and understanding themselves better as individuals.

The school aspires to inculcate newer skills, to enhance the students’ repertoire and further their chances of inculcating valuable life lessons. This year, this competition was arranged on 9th of July wherein students from first to tenth grades participated and gave their best performance.

A verbal linguistic learner absolutely loves words. In fact, a majority of the student needs are met through these activities, their intellectual needs are whetted by constantly being challenged, leading to constant acclimatisation of their creativity.
