28th June 2017, marked the beginning of the all-time combative yet mirthful Inter House Table Tennis Competition 2017-18. After the practice sessions of over a month, students were now beaming with confidence. The competition seemed as though the showers and patters of excitement, nervousness and fun would never end. However, all the faces, walls, racquets, balls, tables felt as if overflowing with the feeling of “WE ARE ONE”, everyone wanting to win yet to remain humble and together always.

The participants were divided into three categories – Sub Junior group (classes 4th to 6th), Junior group (classes 7th and 8th) and Senior group (classes 9th to 11th). Four players from every house participated in each of the above category. The competition had two types of events: INDIVIDUAL and TEAM. The point system was: 10 points for first place, second place 08 points, third place 06 points, and fourth place 04 points.

Under the very able guidance of Devang Sir and other Sports teachers, the participants worked very hard and for long hours, resulting in greater enthusiasm in the tournament.

A very spirited audience filled up the table tennis court, cheering the participants and making the competition full of colours. Drawing upon this motivation, in the Team events, Satyam House and Shivam House made their way to the finals in all the three groups.  Shivam House led its way to first position in the Sub Junior and Junior groups. Satyam House followed their lead and had themselves crowned the first place in the Senior group.

In the Individual events, Nirlep bhai of Shivam House faced Kashyap bhai of Satyam House in the Sub Junior group. In the Junior group, Nirmaan bhai of Shivam House and Virat bhai of Sundaram House faced each other and in the Senior group Rushay bhai of Satyam House and Shreemad bhai of Sundaram House competed against each other.

In these groups, Nirlep bhai, Nirmaan bhai and Rushay bhai made themselves the recipients of the crown by securing the first position in their respective groups. And Kashyap bhai, Virat bhai and Shreemad bhai followed them,  clinching the second position in their respective groups.

Thereafter this enthusiastic competition was declared closed after giving some players victories and others a golden opportunity to improve next time.
