A very much anticipated educational excursion for students of Std 8 took place on 14th of February 2017. The trip was full of cognizance and excitement. We departed from school at around 9:30 am. Dancing and enjoying to the max during our journey, we reached Bardoli Sugar Factory at 10:30 am. Exploring the factory, we got to know about the various processes involved in the production of sugar from sugarcane. Thereafter we went to the historical museum of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. There we enlightened ourselves with the struggles and the endeavours the people of our country faced in order to achieve freedom and self-sustenance.

We than proceeded for a wonderful lunch at Pizza World followed by delicious desserts. After satisfying our appetite, we went to a nearby cotton textile factory. After some introduction, we were taken on a tour of the factory with a guide to help us understand the manufacturing processes used in the factory. The factory was huge and we completed the tour at 4 pm. We then had some delicious snacks and then embarked upon our return journey to school.

This trip gave us basic knowledge of things which we don’t normally consider to be a big deal due to our constant use in daily lives. But these are the things without which life would otherwise not be so pleasurable.

Thus, this visit was very beneficial to us and we offer our utmost gratitude towards our teachers who made this possible for us.
