The inter house sports competitions at AVM for the academic year 2015-16 started with Carrom competition (17-18 July 2015). Amongst many advantages of monsoon, encouraging indoor sports is definitely one of them as students at AVM tend to enjoy outdoor sports. Students from all four houses showed enthusiasm and gave some stellar performances to kick off a very exciting sports calendar at AVM.

Hemant Sir and Kalpesh Sir carefully arranged the tournament so that everyone involved can enjoy it to the fullest without compromising the competitive aspect of it. The competition was organized in three categories: Sub Junior, Junior and Senior.

After the preliminary rounds, four teams from each house qualified for the main draw. Fixture was prepared in such a way that teams from the same house do not face each other in any of the initial rounds.

After some really close and nail biting finishes, the competition concluded with the Senior final match as Suhradam House defeated Sundaram House with minimum point margin. However, overall, Sundaram House swept the competition comprehensively in the other two categories as they were declared as winners.

Atmiya Vidya Mandir congratulates all the participants, winners and sports teachers to make the first inter house sports competition a huge success.
